FAQs
What is a micro-internship?
A micro-internship is a short, project-based internship that can last anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks (in general not more than 3 weeks).
How much should I budget?
Because a micro-internship is a short-term project-based internship, you'll only need to budget $500-1000 per project. The actual price will depend on the scope and length of the project 😍.
Should micro-interns be paid?
YES, we require that Company Partners compensate micro-interns. They are delivering real, immediate value!
Do organizations engage micro-interns as independent contractors?
Typically, given the short-term nature and flexibility of the micro-internship. Company partners engage sprinters as 1099 contractors and pay a project-based fee to the sprinter upon project completion. Company partners contract directly with the sprinter and such agreements often contain various terms, including but not limited to the project description, compensation terms and terms regarding confidentiality and work product ownership. As detailed below, d’Skills will provide certain resources during the micro-internship, including check in calls.

(3) Host a wrap-up call to discuss how it went, and make sure all deliverables are done!
We'll also be available behind the scenes to support your micro-intern with questions!
